#rethinkingrefugee at conference
Our #rethinkingrefugee campaign began in 2015 as a reaction to the negative way refugees were being spoken about in the media. Since then the campaign has evolved, but is continuing to change the perception of refugees. We are always pleased to see this work recognised, and are excited to have been asked to chair a discussion session on #rethinkingrefugee at the 24housing Diversity in Housing Conference on 10th May at Aston Villa football club in Birmingham.
The purpose of the conference is to promote and celebrate some of the great work housing is doing in terms of diversity, and attendees will hear from a range of experts in the sector, from tenants to chief executives, and those from outside the sector who have specialist experience. It will highlight best practice and guide organisations on how they can implement similar policies.
