What did you do before coming to ACH?

What did you do before coming to ACH?

I graduated from the University of the West of England in English Literature back in July 2017. I then chose to volunteer and teach English in Morocco for 3 months, before coming to work for ACH through their internship programme organised with UWE.

Why did you decide to come to ACH?

I loved the ethos of the company, and what they stood for. I myself am passionate in advocating for refugees and those who need help in the community, and ACH allows me to do that.

What project are you working on for us?

I am currently working on a number of blogs and articles that will appear in the ACH newsletter. Having just started this internship, I’m sure there will be a number of projects I’ll be getting involved in, especially marketing around the #rethinkingrefugee campaign.

What is it that you want to achieve?

I want to raise awareness for people within the community and advocate for their needs, and I hope to achieve that through my writing.

What are you hoping to gain from ACH?

I hope to gain a better understanding of what is happening within our communities, and how we can all work together to resolve it. I also hope to better my writing, and gain some invaluable experience in the field of marketing.

What is your proudest moment in your career?

It is definitely being offered this internship, I hope it is the beginning of a long career working in this field.

Our Company Secretary had asked me in my first few month at ACH a huge question. He’d pulled me aside and asked me “what do you want your legacy to be?”
