Job Club under construction

Our weekly Job Club in St Pauls has been a stable part of the support that we provide to the local community over the past 7 years. It is a vital service for our tenants, learners and the wider community to develop personal and English skills, and it also begins or restarts their journey into employment. Job Club reassures them that support is still there, reducing the chances of them slipping into hopelessness and helping to develop them.

Every week our Job Club is extremely popular, and help is offered on writing CVs, applying for jobs and interview preparation. Due to the high demand, we have decided to add another day per week to accommodate more people. Whilst we make these improvements, Job Club will be closed throughout August. When we re-open, we will have made the service better for the whole community, with 2 weekly sessions instead of one (Tuesdays 2 – 4pm and Thursdays 10am – 1pm), and a new member of staff to support the service alongside volunteers.

We aim to limit any inconvenience caused, so if any of our users or referral partners do need help during this time they can still use our 1-to-1 careers advice service. Alternatively, if you would like to be a part of Job Club by volunteering with us, we are always on the lookout for Job Club mentors. We are excited to welcome the community back in September to our new and improved Job Club!
