Introducing Our New Podcast Series: Wisdom from the Global Majority
We are delighted to announce the return of our podcast series collaboration with the University of the West of England, now with the new title "Wisdom from the Global Majority" This series features podcasts recorded by talented UWE students with our valuable service users
This year, we are excited to present five new episodes featuring stories of creativity, determination, and success, all infused with wisdom.
In this first episode, Ben takes the stage as our host, and we are absolutely thrilled to feature our business client, Ahmad.
“Once I came here, I was totally new in the country, totally new in the area. And ACH was like a mother to me; they just took my finger and showed me how to work in this country.”
After moving to the UK from Afghanistan, Ahmad opened a business in Bristol, Heart of Afghanistan, offering traditional Afghani food. He aims to introduce local Bristolians to authentic Afghani cuisine. Additionally, he donates a portion of his profits to his foundation back home, which supports women by teaching them sewing skills, enabling them to earn their own income.
Listen to our podcast to hear Ahmad’s story. Stay tuned for more episodes, and join us in celebrating our community's diverse voices and stories.
If you want to try Heart of Afghanistan’s food, you can check their Facebook page. You can also contact them to cater your events.
