Developing our managers
At the end of September we took managers from our three offices to Ross-on-Wye for a two day development residential. The training was designed to enable our managers to step up and take on more responsibility within the business, to develop their skills and improve the leadership of their teams.
The first day was focused on learning about attendee’s personalities and management styles, and how we can all work most effectively together. This included a number of team-building exercises, and time for reflection in a relaxed environment, encouraging the team to meet, exchange knowledge, and embed their learnings from the day.
The second day focused on ACH and Himilo’s plans for the future, including our work with employers and staff development. This included Business Development Manager, Richard Thickpenny, explaining to ACH managers why "we need to think differently and challenge failing systems of refugee integration."
We thoroughly enjoyed our time away from the office, and have brought back a new understanding of each other and how to achieve the best results for our tenants and learners.
“What a focused and successful training session, with great outcomes achieved. Thanks Fuad and all of the teams. We had truly wonderful vibes.” – Asma Essa, Branch Manager, ACH Wolverhampton.
