Anna’s Work Experience in ACH's Marketing Team
When my family and I came to England, ACH was very helpful and supportive and I really wanted to know how it works from the inside of the company. I was very interested in understanding the inner workings from the perspective of an employee, not as a customer. I was particularly interested in event management, marketing, promotion and advertising. My goal was to gain more practical experience and knowledge before entering university. I was confident that the experience I would gain at ACH would also be beneficial during my university application.
Working in the marketing team
I had the privilege of working with the ACH marketing team for almost a month. During this time, I worked with wonderful people in the office who were always ready to offer advice and support. My manager, Laura, has imparted a wealth of knowledge about marketing and promotion, and I am incredibly grateful for her guidance. I was particularly proud that my work was helpful to the company, and I had the opportunity to create and post content on social media independently. Additionally, I designed and printed my own leaflets, which was a fulfilling experience.
An experience that is beneficial in many ways
This work experience was invaluable because it helped me navigate different programmes, understand the subtleties of marketing, and develop effective time management skills. This boosted my confidence as I prepared to enter university next year. The hands-on experience not only deepened my understanding of the industry but also strengthened my desire to pursue further opportunities in various ACH departments.
Looking ahead with more confidence
I thoroughly enjoyed my time at ACH and am excited about the possibilities of my future experiences with the company. Next time, I hope to explore a different department further, expanding my skills and understanding. This initial experience laid a solid foundation for my future studies and career aspirations.
